The website gives the user the feeling they have entered the homepage of an airline. You are able to book a flight, check your flight status and choose in flight activities. The flights destination is either New York or Berlin - the two locations where the event will be held. The user books a virtual journey into the future, which is when the event will take place. The website has been reduced to a minimum to keep the content slick and straight to the point while creating a high interest into the event.
By creating the background graphic of the website, we tried to visualizes a subconscious connection between the two major cities. The mixed-up skylines, includes the most recognizable landmarks of New York and Berlin, and reflects the unity of ONE event held in two cities. It seems that the skyline of New York and Berlin are mirrored, as reflections are often used on the web, but looking closely the cities have been turned upside down - and mirrored left to right to create an impression of a new future and the global connections.
